Fire Guts Four-Room Bungalow in Ibadan, Oyo Fire Service Averts Spread to Neighbouring Buildings
The Oyo State Fire Services Agency has successfully contained a fire outbreak that gutted a four-room bungalow at Inu-Odi, Okiti along Ayegun-Olómi, Ibadan.
The agency said the incident was reported through a distress call made via telephone by Mr. Olaleye Babatunde, alerting the fire service to a burning residential building at the location.
Firefighters led by Assistant Chief Fire Superintendent, Adisa were promptly mobilised and deployed to the scene where they met the bungalow already fully engulfed in flames and thick smoke.
The fire crew quickly took control of the situation and successfully prevented the flames from spreading to neighbouring buildings and properties within the area.
According to the agency, No casualties were recorded in the incident, while investigations have commenced to determine the cause of the fire.
The firefighters deployed to the scene later returned to base safely and remained on standby for other emergencies.
