Woli Agba, Dele Threaten Legal Action Over Alleged Link to Toluwanisings’ Death

Popular comedians Ayobami Ajewole, better known as Woli Agba, and Olamide Oladimeji, popularly known as Dele Omo Woli, have threatened legal action against individuals circulating allegations linking them to the death of gospel minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, widely known as Toluwanisings.

Woli Agba disclosed this in a public notice shared on his Instagram page on Sunday.

The notice, issued by their solicitors, Gemgold Solicitors, warned members of the public against publishing or sharing what they described as false and defamatory allegations against the two entertainers.

Dated October 23, 2026, the notice described the allegations as baseless and malicious, alleging that they were intended to damage the reputations of their clients.

“Our clients’ attention has been drawn to certain defamatory publications and online broadcasts containing false, baseless, and malicious allegations against them. These publications appear calculated to tarnish our clients’ hard-earned reputations, expose them to public ridicule, and incite hostility against them,” the notice stated.

The solicitors categorically rejected the allegations linking the entertainers to Toluwanisings’ death, describing them as false, unsubstantiated and unfounded.

“We state categorically that these allegations, particularly those falsely associating our clients with the demise of Toluwanisings, are entirely false, unsubstantiated, and unfounded,” the notice added.

The legal representatives warned that individuals who originated, published, shared or amplified defamatory content could also be held liable under the law, including those using anonymous or untraceable social media accounts.

“Anyone who originates, publishes, forwards, or endorses defamatory material is equally liable under the law,” the solicitors stated.

They urged members of the public to refrain from publishing or circulating unverified allegations concerning the entertainers, desist from endorsing such claims and remove any potentially defamatory content previously shared on their personal pages, blogs or social media platforms.

The notice further stated that the entertainers reserved their legal rights and would take action against individuals and media platforms that continued to circulate the allegations.

“Any individual, blog, media platform, or social media user who continues to publish, re-circulate, or broadcast false and defamatory content against our clients will face swift legal action, including claims for substantial damages and injunctive relief under applicable civil and criminal laws,” the notice warned.

The solicitors also called on the public to verify information before sharing it, emphasising the importance of responsible communication and respect for individual dignity.

The development comes amid controversy surrounding allegations linking gospel singer Tope Alabi to the death of Toluwanisings and those of other gospel ministers.

It will be recalled that Alabi had also threatened legal action against a Canada-based pastor identified as Tayo Kumuyi, popularly known as Pastor Tayo Ministries, over publications allegedly linking her to the deaths.

Alabi’s solicitors, Oakmount Legal Practitioners, reportedly issued a cease-and-desist letter dated October 24, 2026, demanding that the publications be removed, retracted and followed by an apology from the operators of the Facebook page, Pastor Tayo Ministries.

The letter, titled “Cease and Desist: Malicious and Defamatory Publications and Threats Against Our Client,” described the demand as a final notice and gave the page operators 24 hours to comply.
