‎Iyaloja Visits Oranyan Market Fire Victims, Consoles Traders, Seeks Government’s Support

‎The Iyaloja of Ibadan, Chief Mrs. Iswat Oyinlola Amerigun, has visited traders affected by the fire outbreak at the popular Oranyan Market in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State, consoling the victims and seeking government support for those who lost their shops and goods.

‎During the visit, Chief Amerigun inspected the affected sections of the market and sympathised with the traders over the destruction caused by the fire.

‎Speaking on the incident, the Iyaloja urged the affected traders to remain calm and united, assuring them that their concerns would be conveyed to the appropriate authorities as efforts are made to assess the extent of the damage and seek possible assistance.

‎She prayed for the recovery of the traders’ losses and assured them that efforts would be made to seek assistance from the government and other relevant stakeholders to support those affected.

‎The latest fire incident at Oranyan market occurred barely two days after a fire outbreak destroyed nine locked up shops at the Nigerian Railway Shopping Complex along the popular Aleshinloye Market, raising fresh concerns over fire safety and emergency response measures in markets across Ibadan.
