2027: ADC Will Shock Doubters in Oyo, Nigeria, BANA Declares

A leading governorship aspirant under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Barrister Chief Niyi Aborisade popularly known as BANA, has declared that the ADC is steadily becoming the political movement Nigerians are embracing ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in a press statement issued in Ibadan on Thursday evening, the outspoken politician dismissed claims that the ADC is a weak or dead political party, describing those behind such comments as people who are afraid of the growing popularity of the party across the country.

According to BANA, the worsening hardship under the present APC-led Federal Government has opened the eyes of many Nigerians, forcing them to begin searching for a fresh political alternative capable of restoring hope to the masses.

He said the ADC has now positioned itself as that credible alternative.“Nigerians are tired of empty promises, hunger and hardship. The people are looking for a party with human feelings and fresh ideas. ADC is fast becoming the hope of ordinary Nigerians,” he said.

The governorship hopeful confidently stated that the ADC is fully prepared to take over Oyo State in 2027, adding that the party is also gaining massive acceptance nationally ahead of the next elections.

BANA further took a swipe at some politicians currently contesting for the governorship position in the state, alleging that many of them have either directly or indirectly played roles in the developmental challenges facing Oyo State today.

He stressed that his aspiration stands out because he represents a fresh beginning without political godfatherism, recycled leadership or questionable political records.

“I am coming with a clean heart, clean record and genuine passion to serve the people. Oyo State deserves a leader that will be accountable to the masses and not to political godfathers,” he stated.

The legal practitioner also praised the leadership structure of the ADC, saying the party remains one of the few political platforms in Nigeria where fairness, equality and internal democracy are still respected.

He expressed confidence that all aspirants would enjoy a free and transparent primary election process without manipulation or imposition.

BANA therefore called on residents of Oyo State, particularly youths and women, not to lose hope in the future of the state and the country, urging them to support the ADC’s mission to bring purposeful governance and economic relief to the people.

He promised that if elected governor in 2027, his administration would focus heavily on job creation, infrastructural development, improved welfare for workers, youth empowerment and policies that would directly improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

Political analysts believe the latest statement by the ADC governorship aspirant may further intensify conversations surrounding the 2027 political landscape in Oyo State as more aspirants continue to declare their ambitions.
