KUSO TO OYO PEOPLE: Support Continuity, Support Makinde’s Candidates
A prominent chairmanship aspirant in Ibarapa East Local Government and Chairman of the Oyo State Tipper, Lorry and Quarry Park Management System, Hon. Abdul Akeem Akintola popularly known as Kuso, has applauded the leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde following the emergence of consensus candidates for major elective positions ahead of the 2027 general elections in Oyo State.
Kuso described the development as a clear indication that the governor remains committed to unity, stability and continuity within the political structure of the state.
According to him, the emergence of Ajadi Olufemi Oguntoyinbo as the consensus candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Stanley Diqullahi Olajide Odidiomo for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Shina Peller for Oyo North Senatorial District and Mr. Bimbo Adekanbi as the governorship candidate, reflects what he called “a strategic and people-oriented leadership style” being demonstrated by Governor Makinde.
The Ibarapa East leading chairmanship aspirant stated that the governor carefully selected credible personalities with political experience, popularity and leadership capacity to continue the developmental agenda of the current administration.
Kuso noted that the governor has once again shown maturity and political wisdom by ensuring that the interests of the people and the future of the state remain paramount above personal interests.
He said the endorsement and adoption of the candidates through consensus would further strengthen the unity of the ruling camp and reduce unnecessary internal wrangling ahead of the elections.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated true leadership qualities. The choice of these candidates clearly shows that the governor understands the political terrain and genuinely wants capable hands that will continue delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Oyo State,” Kuso stated.
He added that the 2027 elections already appear favorable for the Makinde political structure, declaring that the governor’s camp remains solid, united and widely accepted across the state.
According to him, “2027 is already a done deal for the Makinde camp because the people of Oyo State have seen good governance, infrastructural development, improved economy and purposeful leadership under Governor Seyi Makinde.”
Kuso therefore urged party faithful, supporters and political stakeholders across the state to rally behind all the consensus candidates and work collectively for the overall success of the party during the forthcoming elections.
He also appealed to other aspirants who may not have emerged through the consensus arrangement to embrace unity and support the party’s collective interest, stressing that victory can only be achieved through cooperation, sacrifice and loyalty.
The Ibarapa East politician further called on residents of Oyo State to support continuity by voting massively for all candidates endorsed by Governor Makinde, saying such support would sustain ongoing developmental projects and ensure greater progress for the state.
Kuso equally prayed for more wisdom, strength and greater accomplishments for Governor Makinde as he continues to pilot the affairs of Oyo State.
“Governor Makinde has written his name boldly in the political history of Oyo State through impactful governance and people-centered administration. We pray God grants him greater height, more wisdom and continued success in all his future endeavors,” he concluded.
