‎Oyo Government Approves ₦650 Million Take-Off Grant for LAUTECH Iseyin Campus Development



‎The Oyo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, through sustained reforms and strategic investments aimed at positioning the institution as a global centre of excellence in innovation, research and development.

‎Speaking at the 18th Convocation Ceremony of the university, Governor Seyi Makinde said the state government is deepening efforts to expand infrastructure, improve funding, and implement policies that will ensure long-term academic excellence and institutional stability.

‎He announced the approval of a ₦650 million take-off grant for the development of the Teaching and Research Farm at the LAUTECH Iseyin Campus, describing it as a strategic investment that aligns with the state’s agenda on agriculture, food security, youth employment and agribusiness expansion.

‎The governor added that LAUTECH has continued to enjoy stability, uninterrupted academic calendars, and improved stakeholder confidence since the resolution of its ownership challenges, assuring that government support for education, research and innovation will be sustained.
