Ogun Government Approves Roads, Revenue House Project, Confirms New Traditional Rulers
The Ogun State Executive Council on Friday approved key road projects, the reconstruction of the State Secretariat’s Block E, now renamed “Revenue House,” and confirmed several traditional rulers, officials said.
Presided over by Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Council said the projects are aimed at improving transportation, boosting economic activities, and strengthening revenue generation across the state.
Roads Approved
The Council approved the construction and renovation of seven roads across the state’s three senatorial districts:
- Molipa Expressway Roundabout – Ibadan Garage, Ijebu-Ode (2.3 km)
- Bible College Road, Ota (additional works)
- Ajaka Road via Awolowo Market, Sagamu (870 m)
- Gbadebo Street/Hospital Road, Ayegbami, Sagamu (900 m)
- Okenla Street, Ijebu-Ode (0.53 km)
- Yemogun Street, Ogere, Ikenne LGA (1.25 km)
- Carwash – Moore Junction, Adatan, Abeokuta (reconstruction)
Revenue House
The reconstruction and completion of Block E of the State Secretariat, renamed Revenue House, is expected to enhance efficiency in revenue collection and public service delivery.
Traditional Rulers Confirmed
The Council also confirmed the following traditional rulers:
- Prince Raheem Afolabi Ogunlaja – Nnoku of Iraye
- Prince Tajudeen Adeoye Olukunle – Onisale of Isale, Gbokoto
- Prince Obajimi Sunday Olatunji – Alodo of Ado
- Prince Dr. Adesegun Adedapo Ogunsola – Lowa Ibu of Batoro
- Prince (Elder) Moses Oludotun Fadairo – Baale of Orile Oko
The state government said these measures are part of ongoing efforts to accelerate development, strengthen traditional institutions, and improve infrastructure across Ogun State.
