Governor Makinde Visits Adelabu, Assures Support Over Abduction Ordeal

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Thursday paid a solidarity visit to the residence of former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, following the abduction of Adelabu’s sister and her twin sons.

The governor visited the family to express his concern over the unfortunate incident and reassure them of the government’s commitment to securing the safe return of the victims. During the visit, Makinde offered words of comfort and sympathy, noting that security agencies were working tirelessly to rescue the abductees and bring those responsible to justice.

He emphasized that the state government would continue to collaborate with relevant security agencies to tackle criminal activities and strengthen security across Oyo State. The governor also reiterated his administration’s determination to protect lives and property and ensure that residents can go about their daily activities without fear.

Family members and others who received the governor appreciated the visit and thanked him for his show of support during the difficult period. They expressed optimism that the abducted victims would soon regain their freedom unharmed.
