Reacting to the incident, Akintola said the late Balquis was a loyal and committed party woman whose contributions to grassroots politics would not be forgotten in a hurry.
He stated that her dedication, consistency, and active involvement in party affairs distinguished her as one of the dependable figures within the PDP in the local government.
“The news of her death came as a rude shock. She was a very active and loyal member of our great party, always committed to its growth and stability at the grassroots,” he said.
Akintola added that the deceased played a significant role in strengthening the party at the ward level, stressing that her absence would be greatly felt by both party members and the Lanlate community.
