Oyo Emerges Best-Performing State on Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project
Oyo State has been rated the best-performing state in the implementation of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAMP.
The state government disclosed this via its official X handle, noting that the recognition reflects the state’s commitment to infrastructure development and rural transformation.
The Program National Coordinator, Engineer Aminu Bodinga Mohammed, gave the commendation and rating during an inspection tour of ongoing RAAMP projects in Oyo State, where he assessed the level of execution and quality of work.
During the visit, he inspected the Oja-Oba Market, upgrade project in Igbo-Ora and the Alako-Idiya-Batake-Olowa-Ijaye Road project, a 37.1-kilometre road aimed at improving connectivity among rural communities.
In his remarks after the inspection, Engineer Aminu noted that Oyo State has continued to prioritise the development of rural roads and market infrastructure to boost agricultural marketing, improve transportation and enhance the livelihoods of residents across the state.
