‎Oyo Police Command Strengthens Community Policing As CP Olugbenga Engages Ibadan Traditional Leaders



‎The Oyo State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to community policing through an engagement with Mogajis, traditional leaders and members of the Ibadan Peace and Security Initiative.

‎The meeting was led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, as part of efforts to improve public safety across the state.

‎The Traditional Leaders delegation included Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, President of all Mogajis in Ibadanland; Mogaji Dr. Nurudeen Akinade, Coordinator of the Ibadan Peace and Security Initiative; and Baale Ige, Head of all Baales in Ibadanland.

‎In their Separate remarks, they commended the police command for its prompt response to distress calls and continued collaboration with communities.

‎Responding, CP Olugbenga praised the traditional leaders for their supports to the police over the years and assured the stakeholders of the command’s readiness to deepen collaboration.

‎A major highlight of the meeting was the Know Your DPO segment, where contact details of Divisional Police Officers and Area Commanders were shared to improve communication and emergency response.
