‎They Replaced My Damaged Car at PDP Campaign With New One, Then Demanded Free Job, “I Said No” — Osupa Explains Fallout With Governor Seyi Makinde’s Camp

‎Popular Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has spoken on the controversy surrounding his fallout with Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp, alleging that the group attempted to talk him into an additional unpaid political assignment after earlier campaign-related engagements.

‎Speaking in a viral video on Saturday, Osupa said Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp brought a campaign job and initially agreed to a fee arrangement, but later claimed the full payment could not be made.

‎According to Osupa, only a fraction of the agreed fee was paid, while Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp allegedly promised compensation after electoral victory.

‎Osupa stated that during campaign activities under the Peoples Democratic Party, a personal vehicle was damaged, after which a replacement car was later presented by Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp as compensation for the damage.

‎The Fuji musician said the replacement vehicle later became part of public discussion after circulating online.

‎Osupa explained that the disagreement escalated when Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp requested another political performance without payment, insisting the new engagement should be done pro bono because of the replacement car.

‎Osupa said he rejected the demand, stating that the vehicle was compensation for damage incurred during campaign work and not payment for future services.

‎Osupa questioned why additional unpaid work should be expected after the earlier agreed payment was not fully settled.

‎The comments come amid public attention following Osupa’s recent performance at the governorship declaration of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli in Ibadan, which triggered reactions from supporters within Governor Seyi Makinde’s camp.

‎Meanwhile, Governor Makinde’s camp has not issued an official response to Osupa’s latest explanation as of the time of filing this report, leaving members of the public awaiting clarification.

‎Many Oyo Residents and others through comments on various social media platforms called on the Governor’s camp to state their own side of the story for the public to know the truth and also know if Osupa’s explanation is false, half true or true.
