Eid-el-Fitr: CP Femi Haruna Orders Tight Supervision, Strategic Security Deployment Across Oyo State
The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Femi Haruna, has directed a comprehensive and closely supervised security deployment across the State to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
CP Haruna gave the order to the command’s formations In his goodwill message to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan.
The Commissioner congratulated them for their devotion, sacrifice, and steadfast prayers, urging them to uphold the enduring values of peace, tolerance, and unity beyond the festive period.
As part of proactive security measures, the CP has ordered the strategic deployment of personnel, intelligence resources, and operational assets to critical locations across the State.
These include Eid prayer grounds, major highways, recreational centres, and other public spaces, with a focus on intensified patrols and sustained visibility policing.
The Commissioner also called on residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and security conscious, encouraging them to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or security post.
While wishing Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the CP reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and appealed for continued cooperation from the public.
