Check for Prices: Lagos Announces New BRT Fares Across Major Routes
The Lagos State Government has approved a new fare structure for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and standard route services across the state, affecting commuters traveling along major corridors within the metropolis.
The revised fares, which cut across key terminals such as Oshodi, Obalende, CMS, TBS, Ajah, Ikorodu, and Abule Egba, are part of ongoing efforts to streamline public transportation services amid prevailing economic realities.
Standard Route Services
Under the new structure, commuters traveling from Igando to Obalende will now pay ₦1,140, while those plying the Baruwa–Ikeja–Oshodi corridor will pay ₦800. Marina to Lekki has been fixed at ₦570, and Egbeda to Obalende will cost ₦1,030.
Other notable fares include:
- Iyana Ipaja – Obalende: ₦1,090
- Odogunyan – Oshodi: ₦920
- Odogunyan – CMS: ₦1,140
- Ikotun – Yaba: ₦940
- Ikorodu – Obalende: ₦970
- Berger – Lekki: ₦1,140
- Badagry – Mile 2: ₦1,140
- Ayobo – Obalende: ₦1,260
- Marina – Ajah: ₦920
- Igbogbo – Marina: ₦1,140
Additional standard routes include Ikeja–Berger at ₦470, Ikeja–Iyana Ipaja at ₦440, Oshodi–Agege at ₦430, and Oshodi–Ajah at ₦1,320. Berger–Ajah stands at ₦1,710, one of the highest fares on the list.
BRT Services
For BRT-specific routes, commuters from Oshodi to Abule Egba will now pay ₦680, while Oshodi to Ayobo, Command, and Ikola are each pegged at ₦890. Oshodi to Tollgate is ₦970.
Passengers traveling from Ikorodu to TBS will pay ₦960, while Ikorodu to Yaba/Oyingbo/Costain and Ikorodu to Barracks are set at ₦910. The Ikorodu to Mile 12 route is fixed at ₦450.
Other BRT fares include:
- Abule Egba – CMS/TBS: ₦1,080
- Mile 2 – TBS: ₦680
- Ketu – TBS: ₦680
- Okokomaiko – Oyingbo: ₦910
