Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has submitted multiple entries for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards across several major categories.
The Grammy Guru disclosed this on its official X handle, @thegrammyguru, on Tuesday, listing the singer’s sixth studio album, *Oriade*, and several songs among the submissions.
The album, *Oriade*, was submitted for consideration in the Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, and Best Album Cover categories.
Davido’s hit song, *B4 B4*, featuring Mayorkun and FOLA, was submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance.
Another collaboration, *Nakupenda*, featuring TxC, Zlatan, Shoday, Scotts Maphuma and Al Xapo, was entered for consideration in the Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance categories.
His song, *Le Show*, featuring Ayra Starr and French Montana, was also submitted for Best African Music Performance, while *I Know Who I Be*, featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, was entered for Best Music Video.
The submissions come as the Recording Academy begins first-round voting for the 2027 Grammy Awards, scheduled to run from October 12 to October 22.
The academy is expected to announce nominees for the 69th edition of the annual awards on November 16, while the ceremony is scheduled to hold on February 7, 2027.
Davido previously received Grammy nominations for his album *Timeless* and songs *Unavailable* and *Feel* at the 66th edition of the awards in 2024.
The reported submissions underscore the continued efforts of Nigerian artistes to gain recognition on the international music stage.
However, the entries are submissions for consideration and do not constitute confirmed nominations for the 2027 Grammy Awards.
