‎Governor Makinde Inspects Ibadan Airport Terminal Upgrade, Targets Year-End Completion

‎Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has inspected the progress of work on the ongoing construction of the terminal at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan, reaffirming his administration’s plan to upgrade the facility to an international airport.

‎Makinde disclosed this in a post on his official X handle, stating that he inspected the terminal being constructed by his administration as part of efforts to transform the airport and improve aviation infrastructure in the state.

‎According to the governor, the ongoing terminal project is a key component of the administration’s plan to upgrade the airport and position it to meet the requirements for international operations.

‎Makinde said the contractor handling the project is working towards completing the terminal and making it ready for commissioning by the end of the year.

‎He added that the development would represent a significant step in the state government’s efforts to enhance air connectivity, support economic activities and further position Oyo State as an attractive destination for investment and business.
