Kuso Congratulates Makinde, Wife on Chieftaincy Honours, Says titles reflect leadership & bond with Ibarapa people
The Chairmanship Aspirant for Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Abdul Akeem Akintola Kuso, has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with prestigious traditional titles in Ibarapa Land.
Governor Makinde was on Saturday conferred with the title of Aare Soludero of Ibarapa Land, while the First Lady received the title of Yeye Aare Soludero of Ibarapa Land at the historic Eleruwa Palace in Eruwa.
The colourful ceremony, which attracted traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders and other dignitaries, formed part of activities marking the first coronation anniversary of the Eleruwa of Eruwaland, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola Ajobo Olurin I.
In his congratulatory message, Kuso described the conferment as a symbolic recognition of Governor Makinde’s leadership, commitment to public service and relationship with the people of Ibarapa, saying the honour carries not only prestige but also a greater responsibility to the people.
According to him, the traditional institution has once again demonstrated its important role in recognising individuals whose contributions and leadership have left an impact on society.
Kuso said the titles of Aare Soludero and Yeye Aare Soludero should be seen beyond the glamour of the ceremony, describing them as a renewed call to service, unity and development.
He congratulated the Governor and his wife for the recognition, while expressing optimism that the honour would further strengthen the bond between the Makinde family and the people of Ibarapa.

He prayed for continued wisdom, good health and success for Governor Makinde and his wife, urging them to regard the honour as another opportunity to deepen their service to the people.
The Ibarapa East chairmanship aspirant concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of people-centred leadership, community development and responsible governance, saying the progress of Ibarapa must remain a collective responsibility.
