UACC President Charges Nigerians on Unity For National Progress, Announces 2027 Nationwide Visitation
…Statewide Revival For Evangelism As Church Concludes SEC Meeting
The United Apostolic Church of Christ, UACC, has called on religious leaders and Nigerians to embrace unity, faith in God, and peaceful co-existence as the foundation for national development.
This was the outcome of the Church’s 2026 Supreme Executive Council, SEC, Meeting held at the UACC General Headquarters, Great Grace Assembly, 3/5 Tesi Street, Off Olowojeunje Street, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos, from August 14 to 16, 2026.
Presided over by the Church President, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi, the 3-day meeting deliberated on administrative policies, church expansion strategies, and preparations for the 2026 UACC General Convention.
In a sermon during the Thanksgiving service themed _“Your Role In Signs & Wonders For Your Life”_, Rev. Dr. Owoyemi charged Christians to trust God and maintain a cordial relationship with Him to experience His signs and wonders.
He stressed that religious institutions have a critical role in fostering unity.
“There is a need for unity among religious institutions and among Nigerians. We must end differences, promote peaceful co-existence and work together to make Nigeria better,” he said.
He added that “unity is one of the pillars in the development of a great nation” and urged citizens to “be partners in ensuring peace and national progress.”
The President also announced a planned visitation to all UACC churches nationwide in 2027, and a state-to-state revival programme aimed at evangelism, gospel propagation and spiritual awakening, as disclosed by the General Evangelist, Prophet Dr. Gabriel Idowu Alo, through his Deputy, Pastor Taiwo Adegoke.
Ministers present included the General Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Samuel Opeyemi Ogunlade; Host Minister and General Treasurer, Rev. Mrs. Victoria A. Olorunyomi; General Secretary, Rev. Joseph E. Oluwatuase; General Financial Secretary, Rev. Michael D. Adeusi; and Auditor General, Rev. Felix T. Popoola and others.
The meeting concluded with a thanksgiving service.
