“Osun ‎Off-cycle poll is a litmus test for the 2027 general election” – Says Makinde; Congratulates Adeleke on Re-election

‎Oyo State Governor, engineer Seyi Makinde, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a triumph for democracy and the people of Osun State.
‎
‎Makinde, in a statement on Sunday, said Adeleke’s victory is a reward for his commitment to serving the people and delivering good governance, while commending Osun voters for exercising their franchise with courage despite the pressure surrounding the election.

‎The governor, who is also Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, urged Adeleke to see his re-election as an encouragement to do more for the development of Osun State.

‎Makinde commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the conduct of the election, describing the off-cycle poll as a litmus test for the 2027 general elections and urging the commission to maintain public confidence in the electoral process.
