Oyo Government Begins Process to Appoint 10 New Judges, Upgrade Courts Facilities
The Oyo State Government has disclosed that it has commenced the process of appointing 10 additional judges to strengthen the state’s judiciary and improve the administration of justice.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abiodun Ayodeji Aikomo, made this known while speaking on developments in the judicial sector in the state.
According to Aikomo, the ongoing process is aimed at increasing the number of judges on the bench to enhance the efficiency of the judiciary and facilitate the speedy dispensation of justice.
He also noted that judicial officers in the state have been adequately catered for through improved welfare, while government is upgrading court facilities across the state to provide a more conducive environment for judicial activities.
Aikomo added that the appointment of additional judges would complement existing efforts to improve judicial service delivery and meet the growing demands of the justice system in the state.
