Ghastly Accident in Ibadan: Trailer Container Crushes Tricycles, Motorcycles and Passersby At Molete
A tragic accident involving a trailer has been reported at the Molete Under Bridge area in Ibadan, Oyo State, after a container fell and crushed tricyclists, motorcyclists, and passersby.
The incident occurred when the trailer conveying the container reportedly lost control while attempting to navigate a roundabout in the busy area.
The container was said to have dislodged from the truck and came crashing down onto several keke Maruwa operators, motorcyclists, and unsuspecting pedestrians in the vicinity.
Eyewitnesses at the scene attributed the accident to improper fastening of the container to the rear of the trailer before it began its movement through the roundabout.
The development caused panic in the area as residents and road users rushed to assist victims and assess the extent of damage caused by the fallen container.
Security operatives have since arrived at the scene to begin rescue operations and help restore order in the affected area.
As of the time of filing this report, the number of casualties remains unconfirmed.
