INEC Warns Public Against Fake 2026 Ad-hoc Recruitment Portal
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a public notice alerting Nigerians to a fraudulent website currently circulating online under the title “INEC Ad-hoc Staff Recruitment 2026.”
In a statement, the Commission described the website as fake, misleading, and unauthorized, stressing that it did not approve or originate the recruitment link being shared. The fraudulent link, which appears as tinyurl.com/INEC-Ad-hoc-St…, is not affiliated with the Commission.
INEC strongly advised members of the public to refrain from submitting personal information or sensitive data on the said website, warning that doing so could expose individuals to identity theft and other cyber-related risks.
The Commission emphasized that all official recruitment announcements and information will be communicated exclusively through its verified website and recognized official communication channels.
INEC urged the public to disregard the fraudulent link and remain vigilant against online scams, particularly as preparations for future electoral activities continue.
