Peaceful Conduct Marks APC Ward 6 Congress in Ibadan South East, As Party Inaugurates New Executives
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan South East Local Government Area today successfully held its Ward 6 Congress, culminating in the inauguration of new ward executives.
The event was conducted peacefully, reflecting the party’s guiding motto of Justice, Peace & Prosperity.
Held at Wesley Practicing School, Elekuro, Ibadan, the congress drew a large turnout of party members and stakeholders eager to witness the election and inauguration of the new executive committee.
The exercise was supervised by Mrs. Adewusi Ebunoluwa of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), ensuring compliance with electoral guidelines.
Security was maintained by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by Mrs. Olasupo Tawakalitu (ASC 1), whose presence contributed to the orderly conduct of the proceedings.
Prominent APC leaders from within and outside the local government area also attended the Congress to show support.

Honorable Tajudeen Asan’ke, Chairman of the APC in Ibadan South East, oversaw the exercise, accompanied by strong party stalwarts including Honorable Barrister Fatai Adesina (Tiwantiwa), Alhaji Rauf Tijani, and Honorable Niyi Yusuf.
Other notable attendees, such as Mr. Bola Bamigbola, Mr. Yinka Adeniyi, Mr. Kola Okeniyi, and Alhaji Sodeeq Lateef, praised the transparency and inclusiveness of the congress.
Party observers, Honorable Lasisi Ibrahim and Mrs. Adekunle Tawakalitu, described the process as free, fair, and in line with the APC’s internal democracy guidelines.

Following the congress, a new executive committee was inaugurated to steer the affairs of the APC in Ward 6 of the Ibadan South East Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In their acceptance speeches, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Mr. Akinola and other Executive members, appreciated the party leaders and members for their confidence in the team.
Mr. Akinola then pledged to run an inclusive administration focused on strengthening the APC’s presence in Ward 6 while delivering on the party’s mandate.
In his remarks, Honorable Barrister Fatai Adesina (Tiwantiwa) commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the Ward 6 Congress.
He described the process as transparent and widely accepted, noting that the unity displayed by members reflects the party’s strength at the grassroots.
Honorable Fatai further stated that the smooth exercise and collective agreement on the outcome show that internal democracy is thriving within the party. He urged members to support the newly inaugurated executives for sustained progress.

Also speaking, Honorable Niyi Yusuf praised the calm atmosphere that characterized the congress, saying the peaceful process demonstrates the maturity of party members.
He affirmed that the results were acceptable and in line with party guidelines.
Alhaji Rauf Tijani (Jakan) expressed satisfaction with the hitch-free conduct of the congress, describing it as free, fair, and credible.
He noted that the broad acceptance of the outcome will further strengthen unity within the APC in Ward 6.
