Governor Makinde Sets to Unveil Oyo Economic Roadmap, Long-Term Development Beyond 2027
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has hailed the state’s economic development roadmap as a success, saying it has achieved over 75 percent of its set targets between 2019 and 2023.
According to the governor, the plan is delivering tangible results, laying a solid foundation for sustained growth across the state.
Building on this progress, the governor said his administration introduced a second roadmap covering 2023 to 2027, aimed at deepening economic resilience, improving governance, and expanding infrastructure.
He emphasized that the success of the current roadmap demonstrates the effectiveness of deliberate and long-term planning.
Looking ahead, Governor Makinde disclosed that preparations are underway for a post-2027 roadmap.
He concluded that the state’s experience shows that consistent planning and focused execution can transform a region’s economic landscape, and the government aims to leverage lessons learned to make Oyo a model of sustainable development in Nigeria.
