”Anybody Caught Trading Illicit Drugs On American Soil Will Be Found And Killed”__ US President
President Donald J. Trump delivered a forceful address outlining a sharply escalated U.S. strategy to combat international drug trafficking, characterizing narcotics smuggling as an existential threat to American life and anybody caught running drug business on the soil of America Will Be Located and Killed.
Trump reiterated that drug consumption and overdose deaths, which he attributes in large part to illicit imports, have devastated American families and communities a point he said justified the use of military force in some circumstances.
In a Truth Social post tied to U.S. military strikes on suspected drug-smuggling vessels, he framed the campaign as a hunt for those “bringing drugs that can kill Americans,” promising continued action at sea and “very soon” by land.
Under what the administration labels Operation Southern Spear, U.S. forces, including Navy warships and aircraft, have targeted suspected trafficking boats in the Caribbean and Pacific since September 2025.
According to official tallies, these strikes have resulted in at least 115 deaths and a number of captures, though independent verification especially on alleged cargo contents remains limited.
Trump and senior aides have also broadened the definition of drug traffickers to include certain armed groups and hardened criminals abroad.
