Breaking: Governor Makinde Begins Transition Plans, Prepares To Bow Out of Office_ Audio
Oyo State Governor, engineer Seyi Makinde, has announced that he has already begun preparations for a smooth transition ahead of the end of his administration in 2027.
The governor disclosed this at a gathering in Ibadan, noting that he has less than 18 months left in office.

Makinde explained that the early start to transition planning is part of his commitment to ensuring orderliness, continuity, and stability in governance.
He said leadership should not be centered on individuals but on systems capable of sustaining development beyond any administration.
According to him, the next set of leaders in the state must be adequately prepared for the responsibilities ahead.
He added that his role in the remaining months will include supporting, mentoring, and exposing emerging leaders to the demands of governance.
Maintaining transparency, governor Makinde said he will continue to be a guiding principle for his administration, while assuring residents that he will continue to work diligently until the final day in office.
