‎The Oyo State Government has given an update on the ongoing reconstruction of the 5-kilometre Sanyo-Ago-Olunde Road in Oluyole Local Government Area, with the first phase of the project scheduled for completion and commissioning in December 2026.

‎The government disclosed this via its official feedback handle on app X.

‎The project, being undertaken by the Oluyole Local Government Council, commenced in August 2026 as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure and ease movement within the area.

‎The reconstruction is planned in three phases, with Phase 1 covering 1.3 kilometres and has a four-month construction period.

‎According to the state government’s project update, the reconstruction is expected to improve access along the Sanyo-Ago-Olunde corridor, ease movement for motorists and other road users, and enhance connectivity within the Oluyole axis.

‎The project also reflects the role of local government councils in delivering infrastructure at the grassroots and addressing development needs within their respective communities.

‎The Oluyole Local Government Council has also completed other infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Health Centre at the Abiola Ajimobi Technical University.

‎The Oyo State Government has continued to provide updates on ongoing and completed projects across the state, highlighting interventions being implemented at the local government level to improve infrastructure and bring the benefits of governance closer to residents.
