Veteran Journalist, Former Oyo Governor’s Aide, Oloye Lekan Alabi Dies at 76
Veteran journalist and former Press Secretary to successive Oyo State governors, Oloye Lekan Alabi, is dead.
He passed away on Saturday morning in Lagos at the age of 76.
His death was announced in a statement issued by the Media Aide to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Adeola Oloko.
According to family sources, the late journalist will be buried on Sunday in accordance with Islamic rites.
Alabi, who was the Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland, was widely regarded as one of Oyo State’s most respected media professionals and public communicators, having served in various capacities during a distinguished career in journalism and public service.
He was also a prominent figure in the traditional institution, where he held the prestigious title of Abese Olubadan in the Olubadan chieftaincy line.
