Rescued Oyo Pupils, Teachers Admitted in Hospital for Medical Treatment
The 44 pupils and teachers rescued after spending weeks in captivity following their abduction in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State are currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital, the Nigerian Army has disclosed.
The Army made this known in a statement issued on Friday by the Acting Deputy Director, 2 Division Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Danjuma Jonah Danjuma.
According to the statement, the victims are undergoing medical care following their successful rescue during a joint security operation that led to their release from captivity.
The statement, however, did not disclose the location of the hospital or indicate how long the victims would remain under medical care before being reunited with their loved ones.
