Olubadan, Soun, Other Royal Fathers Arrive At Secretariat As Governor Makinde Sets To Inaugurate Oyo State Council Of Obas and Chiefs



‎Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, is set to inaugurate the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.

‎As of the time of filing this report, all arrangements had been concluded at the House of Chiefs, State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, venue of the inauguration ceremony.

‎Dignitaries already in attendance include the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Adebayo Lawal; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honorable Segun Ogunwuyi; and the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde.

‎Also present are prominent traditional rulers across the state, including the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Ladoja; the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye; the Okere of Saki; the Olugbon of Ile-Igbon; the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Adebayo Akande; and the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadan, among others.

‎Traditional rulers and government officials were seen awaiting the arrival of Governor Makinde, who is expected to formally inaugurate the council as part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen traditional institutions and enhance governance in the state.
