2027: ‘Remain Hopeful, Our Mission Is Far From Over,’ Aborisade Reassures Supporters

Governorship hopeful in Oyo State, Barrister Chief Niyi Aborisade (BANA), has urged his supporters and residents of the state not to be discouraged by recent political events, declaring that the movement for a better Oyo State remains alive and unstoppable.

In a statement made available to journalists on Friday, Aborisade thanked thousands of supporters across the state’s 33 local government areas for their unwavering loyalty, prayers and confidence in his leadership, describing their encouragement as a source of renewed strength.

He said the struggle to enthrone good governance, accountability and people-centred leadership should not be measured by a single political outcome, but by the determination to remain committed to the collective aspirations of the people.

According to him, every great political movement encounters challenges, but only those who remain focused eventually achieve lasting success.

“I want to sincerely appreciate every supporter who has stood by me throughout this journey. Your faith, sacrifices and encouragement have not gone unnoticed. This is not the time to lose hope but a time to remain united and look ahead with confidence,” he said.

Aborisade stressed that his vision for Oyo State remains unchanged, promising to continue championing policies that promote justice, economic growth, quality education, improved healthcare, youth empowerment and transparent governance.

The legal practitioner noted that his political philosophy has always been rooted in service rather than personal ambition, insisting that the desire to build a more prosperous Oyo State remains his foremost priority.

“Our movement was never built around one election or one position. It is a movement inspired by the genuine desire to give Oyo State the quality leadership it deserves. That vision remains intact,” he stated.

Calling on his supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding, Aborisade urged them to avoid divisive comments and continue to uphold the values of respect, unity and democratic engagement.

He also assured members of his political structure that consultations with stakeholders across the state would continue as part of efforts to strengthen the movement and prepare for future opportunities.

“There is no room for despair. We must continue to believe in ourselves and in the future of Oyo State. With patience, perseverance and God’s guidance, our collective dream will become a reality,” he added.

The governorship hopeful concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the people, pledging never to abandon the ideals of integrity, equity and inclusive governance that have defined his political journey.

He said, “This is only another chapter in our journey. Our mission to build a greater Oyo State is far from over. Together, we will continue to work for the future our people deserve.”
