JAMB Releases 2026 Mop-Up UTME Results, Begins Admission Ranking Process

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted for candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination due to various challenges.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed that candidates who participated in the mop-up exercise can now access their results through the board’s approved result-checking platforms.

The 2026 UTME was conducted across 966 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide between April 16 and 23. However, technical glitches experienced at some centres prevented a number of candidates from taking the examination as scheduled.

To address the situation, JAMB organised a mop-up examination on June 13 for affected candidates and others who missed the main exercise.

In the statement, the board urged candidates to check their results through its established channels, adding that result slips required for admission processing would be available for printing before the end of the week.

“Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels,” the statement read.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates.

“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.

“JAMB appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of all candidates and stakeholders throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up exercise.”

The board noted that the release of the mop-up results marks the completion of the 2026 UTME exercise and paves the way for the next phase of the admission process.

Earlier, JAMB had warned that the mop-up examination would be the final opportunity for candidates to sit for the 2026 UTME, stressing that no additional examinations would be conducted after the exercise.
