Olusegun Fawole Appointed General Manager Dominion Broadcast Group, TV Frequency to Be Unveiled Soon
Ace broadcaster, Olusegun Fawole, popularly known as Floodbaba, has been appointed the General Manager of Dominion Broadcast Group (DBG), Ibadan.
The appointment was announced on Friday following the approval of the Board of Directors, which cited Fawole’s wealth of experience, professional expertise, and significant contributions to the growth and development of the media organization.
According to the board, the decision reflects its confidence in Fawole’s leadership capacity and his ability to drive the group’s vision of delivering quality broadcasting services and innovative media content.
Floodbaba, a respected figure in the broadcasting industry, has built a reputation for excellence over the years, earning recognition for his dedication to professional standards and audience engagement.
His elevation to the position of General Manager is expected to strengthen the operational and strategic direction of Dominion Broadcast Group, both Radio and Television, as it continues to expand its footprint in the media landscape.
In his acceptance remarks, Olusegun Fawole, a.k.a. Floodbaba, expressed profound appreciation to the proprietor of Dominion Broadcast Group, the Board of Directors, management, and members of staff for the confidence reposed in him.
He described his appointment as a call to greater service and pledged to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve the organization’s vision.
He assured listeners, viewers, and partners that Dominion Broadcast Group would continue to uphold professionalism, innovation, and excellence in broadcasting while striving to become the leading media brand in Oyo State and one of the foremost broadcast organizations in Nigeria.
Fawole said one of his immediate priorities would be to further strengthen the group’s radio operations through improved programming, capacity building for staff, and strategic investments in modern broadcasting technology.
He noted that Dominion Radio would continue to provide quality news, entertainment, educational, and public affairs content tailored to the needs of its growing audience across Oyo State and beyond.
Speaking on the television arm of the organization, the new Group General Manager disclosed that Dominion Television is making steady progress towards its terrestrial transmission launch.
He explained that the installation and configuration of the necessary terrestrial broadcasting equipment are currently ongoing as part of efforts to ensure a smooth and successful rollout.
According to him, the television station’s terrestrial frequency will be officially announced soon after the completion of the final technical processes and regulatory requirements.
He expressed optimism that the terrestrial launch of Dominion Television would significantly expand the station’s reach and reinforce Dominion Broadcast Group’s ambition of becoming a dominant force in the broadcasting industry across Oyo State, the South-West, and Nigeria at large.
Floodbaba also called on all members of staff to remain dedicated to the collective vision of the organization, expressing confidence that with unity, commitment, and hard work, Dominion Broadcast Group would attain greater heights and set new standards in the broadcasting industry.
