Governor Makinde Presents Award of Excellence to 42 Government Workers, 4 MDAs
Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has said that his administration will continue to promote the best irrespective of political affiliation.
The governor stated this at the Public Service Week & 2024 Merit Award held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan today, where 42 government workers were honored.
At the event, governor Makinde noted that he has encouraged gender balance in his administration and empowered thousands of government workers.
While charging the citizens to keep supporting his administration, the governor assured them of prompt response to their requests.

In her welcome address, the head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni described the event as more than a tradition, but a platform of renewal of service and recognition of excellent workers across the state’s ministries, departments and agencies.
She then emphasized that public service should be a learning, innovative and productive institution, while workers should remain honest, dedicated and productive.

In their various messages, former Oyo State Head of Service, Adesoji Eniade, and representative of Local Government Service Commission, Yusuf Temitope, commended the flexibility in the state civil/public service, which they said has helped constant transparent service delivery.
At the Public Service Week, 42 excellent workers, Ministry of Health, Oyo State Traffic Roads Management Authority, Oyo state Health Insurance Agency and BCOS were awarded.
