Oyo Police Announce April 28–30 Recruitment Exam Dates, Warn Candidates Against Scams

The Oyo State Police Command has announced that the written examination for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables will hold from Tuesday, April 28 to Thursday, April 30, 2026.

The command said the exercise, organised by the Police Service Commission (PSC) in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), will cover both General Duty and Specialist cadres and will be conducted simultaneously across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the command, the Oyo State examination centre is the ETF 2009/2010 1,000 Capacity Hall, The Polytechnic Ibadan, along Sango–Eleyele Road, Ibadan.

It stated that only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening exercise are eligible to participate in the examination.

Qualified applicants were advised to log on to the recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, from Friday, April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which contains details of their specific examination date, time and venue.

The command said candidates are expected to come to the examination centre with a pen, National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission bearing a clear photograph, and their printed Examination Invitation Card.

It added that the approved dress code for the exercise is white shorts, white T-shirt and white canvas shoes.

The Oyo State Police Command reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and warned applicants against job racketeers, fraudsters and any form of financial inducement, stressing that anyone found culpable would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbemiga, wished all eligible candidates success in the examination and urged them to be punctual and strictly comply with all examination guidelines.

He further reassured applicants that the recruitment exercise remains merit-driven and transparent.

The command also encouraged candidates to remain orderly, cooperate with officials at the venue and report any suspicious recruitment-related activity to the nearest police formation.
