Satguru Maharaj Ji Celebrates Ooni Ogunwusi at 10th Coronation Anniversary, Salutes Custodians of Culture and National Leaders
Satguru Maharaj Ji, Founder of the One Love Family, joined eminent personalities in Ile-Ife, Osun State, to celebrate the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Olaja II.
The revered spiritual leader described the monarch’s decade on the throne as a blessing to Yorubaland and Nigeria, noting that his reign has strengthened unity, peace, and cultural rebirth.
Speaking at the colourful gathering, which attracted Nigeria’s top political and traditional figures, Maharaj Ji praised the Ooni for his unwavering commitment to preserving Yoruba identity.
He said Oba Ogunwusi’s leadership over the past ten years has rekindled global interest in Yoruba heritage, values, and spirituality, further positioning Ile-Ife as the cradle of civilisation.
Satguru Maharaj Ji noted that the event, attended by Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, reflected the Ooni’s wide-reaching influence across cultural and political lines.
He commended the monarch for building bridges of harmony among Nigeria’s diverse people.
The Spiritual Leader, as the custodian of all the Deities and Oracles in Creation, admonished the Obas to uphold their respect for traditional and cultural institutions, which are gradually fading away in the face of funded foreign monocultural values.
Describing them as the bedrock of societal order and ancestral wisdom. According to him, strengthening traditional leadership is essential to maintaining Nigeria’s moral fabric and cultural essence, which have been lost to the wind after years of amalgamation and degeneration.
He extended special greetings to the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Qwoade; the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja; the Soun of Ogbomoso land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Gandhi Afolabi Olaoye, and other royal fathers, praising them for their steadfast roles as custodians of Yoruba culture and tradition.
Maharaj Ji acknowledged their continuous efforts to preserve history, promote peace, and uphold the Values handed down by forebears.
Satguru Maharaj Ji equally congratulated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her installation as the Yeye Ashwaju lie Oodua by the Ooni during the celebration. He described the honour as a recognition of her inspiring, leadership, and support for cultural revival across Nigeria.
He urged the First Lady to continue championing initiatives that empower women, promote cultural dignity, and strengthen African traditional family values within the country. Maharaj Ji stated that her new title comes with a responsibility to attract millions of African daughters and mothers worldwide to come home to serve in nation building.
In his remarks, Maharaj Ji saluted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and recent diplomatic strides, especially his efforts in the Benin Republic and his commitment to restoring order and stability within the sub-region. He described the President’s interventions as timely and strategic for regional peace.
He encouraged the President to come closer to Satguru Maharaj Ji and to continue working closely with traditional rulers, noting that lasting development is rooted in cultural harmony and grassroots engagement. According to him, traditional institutions must be key partners in national governance.
Maharaj Ji concluded with a message to all Nigerians, urging them to que for Divine Knowledge and to use the True Holy Name of The Creator MAHARAJ Ji to ensure a long and accident free life, and to enable blacks turn the tide of underdevelopment, insecurity and economic stagnation into a strong and buoyant economic assets in which her citizens would realize their Divine potentials to become great again to compete favorably and comparatively in transit to The New Golden Age of Life Maharaj Ji has brought.
