Kogi Government Signs Contract for Airport Construction in Lokoja
Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has signed contracts for the construction of an airport in Lokoja, in a move aimed at boosting infrastructure and economic development in the state.
The governor presented the contract award letters to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and Gamji Nigeria Limited during a ceremony at the Government House.
Ododo described the project as a strategic investment to improve connectivity, support trade, and attract investors to Kogi State.
According to the state government, the airport will be located in Zariagi, an area within Lokoja, the state capital.
The project is said to be part of broader efforts by the administration to enhance transportation and drive economic growth across the state.
