Governorship Aspirant, Kola Asatola Asanike Hosts APC Ward Leaders; Urges Grassroots Unity Ahead 2027
A governorship aspirant Prince Musbaudeen Kolawole Asatola Asanike, on Wednesday, hosted executives and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 6, in Ibadan South East Local Government Area of Oyo State to an iftar gathering at his Ibadan residence in Akobo.
The meeting, held in the spirit of the Ramadan season, brought together party leaders, supporters and stakeholders who broke their fast together alongside deliberating on the progress of the party bothering on strategies to further strengthen the APC at the grassroots level.
The leaders’ delegation was led by Hon. Niyi Yusuf, popularly known as “Whatever Whatever,” alongside Alhaji Rauf Tijani, also known as Jakan.
Both the leaders and party supporters commended Asanike for hosting the ward executives and creating a platform for dialogue on the future of the party.
In his remarks, Prince Musbaudeen Kolawole Asatola Asan’ke expressed appreciation to the Ward 6 executives for honouring the invitation and sharing the iftar with him.
He praised their dedication and commitment to the growth of the APC within the ward and the local government area.
Asanike also emphasized the importance of unity and sustained grassroots engagement among party members, noting that such efforts are crucial in positioning the APC for greater success in future elections.
The Ibadan Prince Asatola and notable chieftain of the APC in Oyo State hinted at his desire to serve the people of Oyo State in governorship capacity.
According to him, his interest in contesting in the forthcoming general elections is driven by a commitment to give back to society and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
In response, Alhaji Rauf Tijani (Jakan) expressed satisfaction with Assnike’s aspiration which he termed as timely development at this time when APC needs a young and vibrant personality like Assnike. While commending party members for the peaceful and hitch-free conduct of the recent party congress, which he described as free, fair, and credible, the party leaders prayed for Asanike’s victory.
Tijani urged members to remain united and continue working towards the collective progress of the APC.
The spokesperson of APC Ward 6, Hon. Olawale Abiola Sasaeniyan, noted that the meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between party stakeholders and grassroots leaders in strengthening the party’s structure.

The event ended with prayers for the host, Assnike on his aspiration which has gained popularity across the state and also for unity within the party. Prayer was also raised for renewed commitment by members to strengthen the APC structure in Ibadan South East and across Oyo State ahead of future electoral contests.
