‎Nigeria Secures Major Industrial, Trade Partnership with BUA, AD Ports & MAIR Group in Abu Dhabi

‎Nigeria has secured a major industrial and trade partnership following the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding in Abu Dhabi between BUA Group, AD Ports Group, and MAIR Group.

‎The agreement advances Nigeria’s industrialization agenda by strengthening agro-processing capacity, enhancing food security, and expanding integrated global logistics solutions.

‎Central to the collaboration is the development of sugar refining and advanced logistics infrastructure at Khalifa Ports in the United Arab Emirates, a move designed to improve value addition, reinforce supply chain resilience, and deepen structured trade flows between West Africa, the Gulf region, and Asia.

‎This breakthrough represents a tangible outcome of renewed and strengthened Nigeria–UAE relations.

‎Only recently, at the invitation of His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria witnessed the signing of the Nigeria–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, a landmark framework to boost bilateral trade and investment.

‎The latest partnership demonstrates that Nigeria’s strategic diplomacy is delivering measurable economic gains.

‎Through sustained high-level engagements focused on trade, infrastructure, investment, and food security, the administration continues to open new pathways for Nigerian businesses to compete and thrive internationally.

‎President Tinubu commended the Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, and his team for aligning with our national vision for industrial growth and for demonstrating the capacity of Nigerian enterprises to operate successfully on the global stage.

‎This agreement reinforces Nigeria’s commitment to attracting investment, expanding exports, strengthening domestic industry, and delivering sustainable prosperity for our people.

‎~ Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
‎President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
