Breaking: Tinubu to Campaign in Oyo State November 21 – Says Folarin; Adelabu, Others to Work for PBAT, Alli
A prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, has disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will visit the state on November 21 as part of his campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Folarin made the disclosure at a high powered meeting held at the APC Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, where he declared his total support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, the Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and all other candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.
He charged APC members across the state to begin preparations to receive the President, noting that Oyo State is among the few states selected for Tinubu’s campaign tour.
According to Folarin, the President will not be visiting all states of the federation, making Oyo State’s inclusion an important part of the party’s campaign activities.
The former senator also expressed optimism that other political leaders within the party, including former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, would join efforts to support Tinubu and Alli ahead of the elections.
Emphasising the need for unity and collective commitment among party members, Folarin urged APC stakeholders to set aside their differences and work towards the success of the party’s candidates.
He said, “I am fully committed to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the success of all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.”
Folarin’s remarks come amid efforts by the Oyo State APC leadership to strengthen party unity and mobilise members ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In his remarks at the meeting, the Oyo State APC Chairman, Chief Moses Alake, appreciated Folarin for sheathing his sword and embracing peace, describing the development as a step towards fostering unity within the party.
Alake said, “We appreciate Senator Teslim Folarin for sheathing his sword and embracing peace. His decision is important to strengthening unity within our party as we prepare for the forthcoming elections.”
The meeting provided an opportunity for party leaders and members to discuss preparations for the forthcoming elections and rally support for the APC candidates in Oyo State.
