CAF Confederation Cup: Shooting Stars Off to Tunisia for Sfaxien Return Leg

Shooting Stars have departed Nigeria for Tunisia ahead of the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round clash against Tunisian club, CS Sfaxien.

The players and officials left the country through the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, on Wednesday en route to Tunisia.

The Oluyole Warriors are scheduled to make a brief stopover in Casablanca, Morocco, during the journey.

The trip marks Shooting Stars’ first away expedition in continental football in 27 years.

The second-leg encounter is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax.

The match will kick off at 6pm Nigerian time.

Shooting Stars will head into the crucial fixture with a slender 1-0 advantage secured from the first leg.

The Oluyole Warriors will be hoping to protect their advantage and secure qualification for the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
