Oyo Government Moves to Unlock Oke-Ogun Tourism Potentials, Speeds Up 30-Kilometre KAP Film Village Road Reconstruction
The Oyo State Government has intensified work on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 30-kilometre Okaka Junction–Otu–Igbojaiye–KAP Film Village Road in Itesiwaju Local Government Area, as part of efforts to improve connectivity and unlock the tourism and economic potential of the Oke-Ogun zone.
The Government disclosed this via its official feedback handle on App X, noting that the project which was approved in September 2025 with an 18-month delivery timeline, is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2027.
The scope of the project includes the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 30-kilometre road, as well as the construction of bridges across the Otu and Ofiki Rivers.
The government stated that the infrastructure, when commissioned, will improve movement along the corridor and strengthen connections between communities in the area.
The road is also a major access route to the KAP Film Village and Resort, one of the creative and tourism destinations in Oke-Ogun.
