Thousands of Security Operatives, 30 CPs, Helicopters Return to Base as Adeleke Emerges Twice as Tall on Osun’s Dancing Throne

‎Thousands of security operatives deployed across Osun State for the governorship election, alongside 30 Commissioners of Police and helicopters deployed for aerial surveillance, have begun returning to their various bases following the declaration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the keenly contested poll.

‎The massive security deployment had transformed the state into a fortress in the days leading to the election, with personnel stationed across strategic locations, major roads, polling units and collation centres to maintain peace and prevent electoral violence.
‎
‎With the conclusion of the election and the declaration of the result, the security buildup has begun winding down as operatives withdraw from the state.
‎
‎The helicopters deployed for the election have also returned to base after completing their aerial surveillance operations.
‎
‎The development came shortly after Adeleke was declared winner of the governorship election, securing 19 of the 30 local government areas, while his closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, won 11 LGAs.

‎Adeleke’s victory marks a dramatic return to the Osun Government House and gives the governor another four years in office. The result has also triggered celebrations among his supporters, with scenes of jubilation reported in parts of the state.
‎
‎For Adeleke, popularly associated with his energetic dancing and distinctive campaign style, the victory represents more than a re-election.
‎
‎After a fiercely contested election, he has returned to the “Dancing Throne” twice as tall, politically strengthened and with a fresh mandate from the people of Osun State.
