Galatasaray Reject Arsenal’s Swap Deal for Victor Osimhen

Turkish champions Galatasaray have reportedly rejected an approach from Premier League side Arsenal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

According to Turkish journalist Ömer Faruk Özcan, Arsenal officials travelled to Istanbul to hold talks with Galatasaray over a possible deal for the Super Eagles forward.

Rather than making an outright cash offer, Arsenal reportedly proposed a swap deal involving Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres and an additional €30 million. However, Galatasaray are said to have turned down the proposal, insisting on retaining their prized forward.

Osimhen has been the subject of transfer interest from several top European clubs following his outstanding performances in recent seasons. Despite the growing speculation surrounding his future, Galatasaray appear determined to keep the Nigerian international as they prepare for the new campaign.

The reported rejection is another indication of the Turkish club’s resolve to hold on to one of its most influential players amid continued interest from Europe’s elite clubs.
