Davido Says He Spends Up to $300,000 Monthly, Excluding Wife, Household, Jewellery and Cars

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month on himself, excluding what he spends on his wife, household, jewellery and cars.

The singer made the disclosure during a livestream conversation with content creator Davrel, explaining that his monthly spending varies depending on where he is based.

According to Davido, his monthly personal expenses average between $200,000 and $300,000, excluding what he spends on his wife, household, jewellery and cars. He explained that he spends considerably less when he is in the United States because he lives a quieter life with his wife, Chioma, and their children. However, his expenses increase significantly whenever he is travelling or away from home due to his demanding schedule and lifestyle.

“It depends on my location. I spend less in America because I live with just my wife and kids. But when I’m around, it’s a lot more. Normally, about $200,000 to $300,000, excluding buying jewellery, buying a car, and excluding my wife and my household,” he said.

The revelation quickly went viral across social media, with fans expressing surprise at the singer’s monthly expenditure and debating the realities of maintaining a luxury lifestyle.

While some admired his financial success, others responded with humorous comments, joking about the scale of his spending.

The disclosure comes shortly after Davido reacted to the announcement by billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu that he would step down as Group Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) at the end of his tenure.

The singer congratulated Elumelu on his years of service and wished him well in his future endeavours.
