UACC Oke Ayo Celebrates 50 Years of Divine Faithfulness with Golden Jubilee Thanksgiving
The United Apostolic Church of Christ, UACC Oke Ayo, Akure, marked its 50th Anniversary with a week-long thanksgiving at 10 Femi Adekanye Crescent, Akure, Ondo State. Members, dignitaries, and well-wishers gathered to honour God’s faithfulness over five decades.
Declaring the celebration open, the Founder and Chairman of UACC Supreme Council, Rev. E.O. Tokimi, welcomed guests with grace and peace in Jesus’ Name. He glorified God for protection, testimonies, and sustaining power. “Today we give thanks to God, we reflect on His goodness, and we rededicate ourselves to the work ahead. Your presence makes this thanksgiving complete,” he declared.
Activities included revival services, awards, praise evening, fundraising for modern musical instruments, induction of the church patron, and thanksgiving service. The church history was read by Senior Resident Pastor, Pastor (Hon) Tokimi Akinyemi, while the Pastor-in-Charge, Pastor Timilehin Adetifa, directed the programme with other assembly pastors.
Delivering the Word, Pastor Oluwatobi Oke of Ondo State Government Chapel preached on _“Latter Glory”_ from Haggai 2:1-9. He charged the new generation to work harder than their forebears and be more responsible with life and resources, stressing that latter glory demands greater diligence and stewardship for kingdom impact.
The UACC President, Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi, sent a congratulatory message through General Secretary, Rev. Eniola Oluwatuase. He congratulated UACC Oke Ayo on 50 years of kingdom service, commended the founder’s vision, and prayed that the latter glory would exceed the former, per Haggai 2:9.
A highlight was _The Golden Pillars of Faith Awards 2026_, honouring legacy builders:
1. _Late Mrs. Felicia Omowumi Gabriel_ — Posthumous Legacy & Foundation Award
2. _Late Chief Biyi Ogundipe (AKA ODK)_ — Posthumous Kingdom Builders Award
3. _Late Elder Oluwadare Fatukasi_ — Posthumous Meritorious Service Award
4. _Pastor Victor Oluwaseun Ayandeji, JP_ — Distinguished Service & Global Outreach Award
Senior Resident Pastor, Pastor (Hon) Tokimi Akinyemi, said: “Fifty years of grace! From ‘former glory’ to ‘latter glory,’ God has proven faithful. I thank UACC Oke Ayo family for prayers, diligence, giving, and service. The best is yet to come. God Almighty will honour us. Happy celebration.”
Dignitaries present included Prof. Omololu Adegbenro, Registrar of Elizade University; Mrs Folusho Omoniyi, Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Scholarship Board; Pastor Gbenga Jemiluyi, APC Chairman Akure South LGA; representative of Hon. Deola Rosemary Fynch; Prophet Olarewaju, CAC Power of God Center; Pastor Isaac Olujobi, UACC Ondo State Secretary; Lady Pastor Funmilayo; and other UACC pastors.
As the church clocks 50, UACC Oke Ayo affirmed commitment to greater works, declaring that the glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former. The church continues to grow and will continue to evangelise for the Kingdom of God.
