BREAKING: Governor Makinde Emerges APM Presidential Candidate, Receives Certificate of Return; Ready to Face Tinubu, Atiku, Others
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 general election, following the conclusion of the party’s presidential nomination process.
His emergence is being viewed as a major development in the country’s political landscape as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the next general elections.
The governor was officially presented with his Certificate of Return by the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali, at a ceremony attended by party leaders, delegates, supporters and political associates in Ibadan.
The presentation formally confirmed Makinde as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.
In his remarks, Alhaji Dantali described Makinde as a leader with the experience and vision required to move the country forward.
He urged party members across the country to unite behind the presidential candidate and mobilise support ahead of the election, expressing confidence that the APM would offer Nigerians a credible alternative in 2027.
