APC Revises 2027 Election Timetable, Releases Payment Accounts
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, adjusting deadlines for screening, primaries, appeals, and other internal party processes. The party also released designated bank accounts for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
The announcement was made on Monday at the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja. It was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and separately confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the APC, the revised timetable is in line with the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revised schedule for the 2027 elections.
• Sale of forms: April 25 – May 2, 2026
• Submission of completed forms: May 4, 2026
• Screening of aspirants: May 6 – May 9, 2026
The screening exercise will cover aspirants for:
• State Houses of Assembly
• House of Representatives
• Senate
• Governorship
• Presidential positions
Screening appeals for State House of Assembly and House of Representatives aspirants will hold from May 12 to May 13, 2026.
Primary Elections Schedule:
Primary elections will begin on May 15, 2026, starting with the House of Representatives, followed by the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries. The exercise will conclude on May 23, 2026.
Cost of Forms:
The APC also announced the fees for Expression of Interest and Nomination forms:
• State House of Assembly: ₦1,000,000 + ₦5,000,000
• House of Representatives: ₦1,000,000 + ₦9,000,000
• Senate: ₦3,000,000 + ₦17,000,000
• Governorship: ₦10,000,000 + ₦40,000,000
• Presidential: ₦30,000,000 + ₦70,000,000
Discounts for Special Categories:
Female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities will only pay the Expression of Interest fee and 50% of the Nomination fee for any position.

The revised timetable comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections. The APC said the adjustments are intended to ensure smoother internal processes and better coordination of its nationwide primaries.
