‎Oyo Assembly Asks Executive Arm to Evacuate Destitutes from Major Streets

‎The Oyo State House of Assembly has called on the Executive Arm of Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, to intensify efforts toward evacuating destitutes from major streets and public places across the state.

‎The call followed a motion raised by the lawmaker representing Ibadan North II, Honorable Babatunde Gabriel Adebayo, who expressed concern over the increasing presence of homeless people on road medians, markets and other public areas.

‎He noted that the situation has constituted a public nuisance and raised environmental concerns in different parts of the state.

‎The House asked the executive arm to act swiftly to address the situation and maintain environmental order across the state.
