Governor Makinde Commends Security Agencies for Sustaining Peace, Safety in Oyo State
Oyo State Governor, engineer Seyi Makinde, has expressed deep appreciation to security agencies and their personnel for their dedication to maintaining peace and order across the state.
He noted that Oyo State’s reputation as one of the safest states in Nigeria is largely due to the commitment, professionalism, and tireless efforts of security operatives working in the state.
The governor emphasized that security remains the bedrock of any meaningful development, stressing that no society can thrive without a safe and secure environment.
According to him, investment, trade, and economic growth are all dependent on stability, adding that in the absence of security, these critical sectors would lose their relevance.
Makinde further highlighted that even essential aspects of daily life, such as education, cannot function effectively in an insecure environment.
Reiterating that the contributions of security agencies in Oyo State cannot be overstated, governor Makinde then pledeged the state’s support to the agencies as and when due.
